We were really on the fence about moving the boat. Initially we didn’t put much thought into it and just assumed we would move the boat back to Georgia. We even researched the requirements for the wide load permits and pilot cars for each state. But after I saw how beautiful [read more...]
After buying our new boat, a 1993 Gemini 3400 Catamaran, more than a month ago in San Carlos, Mexico this was the first chance my wife, Hilary, could see the boat for herself.
We drove over 2000 miles across country in our 1999 4×4 Suburban 6.5l diesel from St. Simons, Georgia to Tucson, Arizona where a [read more...]
Both Hil and I needed to renew our passports. I expedited the renewal for my trip down to Mexico in June and I received the new passport within 11 days of sending it off via US postal service.

On January 7th, 2009 we awoke with the wind rising and a chop on the river. The wind had shifted from the south to the West putting us on a lee shore if we dragged anchor. It was low tide but we still had plenty of water. The wind really started to [read more...]
