Still in Tucson…

There’s only so much daylight.

Getting the Van to a point we can use it in Mexico has taken more time than I would have liked. Part of the problem revolves only having so much daylight. It’s been cold here in the morning, so I manage to avoid going outside to work [read more...]

FrankenSprinter Maiden Voyage

As usual, we were hustling to get on the road for the RMAF convention in Billings, Montana. I had spent the previous two weeks solid building out our 2004 Dodge Sprinter Cargo Van. It was previously owned by a baker in Albuquerque,NM and a dry cleaner before him. It had 118,000 miles on [read more...]

We’re a Ramblin’ Family

We fly back to Tucson in the morning after a two week visit here in Maryland. We had a great visit with my mother, Hil’s parents, and childhood friends. We had our fill of celebrations including Emma’s fourth birthday! I even managed to get some work done and put together a marketing video [read more...]

Going High Tech-Sort of…

It’s cold and rainy here in Maryland. That’s something new to us over the past two years. In the Rocky Mountains during the summer and even in Mexico in Winter it’s usually pretty dry. Nice change, but I like the low humidity. Of course, the fish taco’s and cold beer don’t [read more...]

A Short Break on the East Coast

We are in Maryland visiting family for about two weeks. This time constitutes about the only “down” time we’ll have this season.

We found a 2004 Dodge Sprinter diesel van with a 158″ wheel base and hi top (6′ head room inside) and we are actively trying to sell the motorhome. I have a [read more...]

No More Donuts!

We lucked out and sold the trailer by the end of the show [read more...]

Frankentrailer revisited…Utah State Fair 2011

We’re loading up getting ready to head out for the Utah State Fair. It’s a 13 hour drive from Tucson in the Landcruiser with the very heavy donut trailer.

We spent about a week working on our 1995 Toyota Landcruiser getting her ready for the big trip. The specifications state the Landcruiser [read more...]

Young Guns Wild West Fun Park 2012 Bookings Starting Early

Long title, I know.

We are ecstatically pleased that we have already been approached by several fairs for new and re-booking contracts in 2012! This is both surprising and a good affirmation that we are on the right path. We’ve made improvements along the road this year that have really made the attractions more [read more...]

Frankentrailer 1.8; A Societal Upgrade & Refurb

Wacky. What can I say?

We all live in a box. This box has walls that are subconsciously put into place from a very young age. The size of our box is based on our experiences as we age and/or evolve to the world around us. Pretty simple.

When Emma was [read more...]

What About School for the Kids?

We get asked that often.

We thought we had more time. Our little baby will be ready for Kindergarten NEXT YEAR! Where has the time gone?

Really, where has the time gone?

We hit Jackson, Wy and we decided to visit the Teton Science School and take a look at their elementary program in [read more...]
